NZ- Day 8, Punakaiki
Today we drove to Punakaiki where the pancake rocks and blowholes are situated. The sun was shining on the rocks by the time we were able to take a look, mingling with lots of Japanese tourists taking selfies. I decided I would return in the morning. The rocks were formed millions of years ago and it’s quite noisy when the waves role in and a little bit more limestone is weakened and removed each time. We have a lovely view of the Ocean from our room tonight. We had a nice meal in the restaurant but it was very noisy with coach guests.
