NZ- Day 9

We visited the rocks at Punakaiki before breakfast this morning when it wasn’t so crowded. Afterwards we had the traditional pancake breakfast which we shared, pancakes, bacon, bananas, maple syrup and cream. We then drove to our next destination, Franz Josef, where they are expecting heavy rains from cyclone Gita, nothing so far not even a breeze. I have just received another severe weather warning, it would appear the cyclone is hitting central New Zealand so it looks as though we will miss the storm.
