Bindied
On my way back from the morning session a man in a robe carrying a portable altar stopped me to give me a bindi and whatever that is supposed to be in my hair. He then asked for a donation, which I gave, but maybe it wasn't enough. I don't know the convention around that. And then I came home and washed it off before going out to lunch, hoping that whatever wisdom it might have awoken would stay with me without the external mark.
Today's sessions with Prashant included a long talk in the morning and exploratory pranayama in the afternoon. In response to a question about effort and ego in asana practice, he said, "Yoga is community culture. Here, ego will be pushed aside." Of the breath work he said, "Breathing here is an ornament of consciousness."
