Lunch

First full day in Tromso and off on a boat trip to the fjords north of the city.  Merits three extras. 

Wonderful sunny weather but cold -3oC out of the wind.  Spectacular scenery. stopped to try and catch some cod by line fishing.  One person did but rest of us failed - in my case because despite two sets of gloves my fingers froze.

Compensated by sight of 3 sea eagles soaring high over the hills then one swooping down (see second extra) and making off with this fish. It all happened so fast.

The first extra shows the scenery including the roof like structure where cod head are being dried out.  Even offshore there was a strong aroma!

Warmed up with a delicious fish soup mixing together asian flavours.    Not sure if cheeks are ruddy from the chilli or the biting wind.
