Nelson Mandela Square

We arrived in Johannesburg yesterday afternoon to stay a week with Mrs BB brother and wife who have lived in South Africa for 38 years. His last job was leading a team on the building of Jo'Berg International Airport and has retired by now does consultancy work. He has a serious health problem so it's good that we are able to spend quality time together before we fly home.

We had a leisurely breakfast out before heading into Sandton to visit Nelson Mandela Square with it's iconic statue. I took the tourist snap of Mrs BB with her older brother under the statue. I treated us to afternoon tea at the 5 star Michaelangelo Hotel there before heading home late afternoon to relax in his amazing home and catch up with family at home via video Whatsapp link.
