Total camera malfunction

We spent the morning sorting hotels and flights for the trip after next.

We picked up the children who had been out to tea at a neighbours. They were full of chat in the car - well Ella would barely let anathaniel get a word in. She is full of the explorers she’s been learning about. She asked us if we knew who said “One small step for Man, one giant leap for mankind”! Luckily we did. But then it was how did we know? And so on. Of course we couldn’t remember the name of the third man, the one who stayed in the spaceship. Luckily we knew how to find out, but she had to check the info with us.

She spent ages asking about family birthdays so I showed her a book I have with them all written in. She wants one to write her friends’ birthdays in. I hope to get her one for her birthday.

My little camera ran out of battery so I couldn’t take pix of them riding their trunkies in a dash in the dark to our house. Then I couldn’t get my big camera’s flash to turn on, so this Blip of them on the assault course round the furniture is blurry.

My turn to do Nathaniel’s bedtime. We had a lovely calm chat about African animals during his story. Ella read a book to Mr C.

The forecast is bad for tomorrow.
