Thankful

These old (grainy) photos show the before and after of a virtual head-on collision with a Mini Metro in July 1982.  This was Mr A's "pride and joy" - his 1275GT Mini - it was only 18 months old at the time.  Mr A was driving the Mini and I was the front seat passenger.

This explains why my neck is bad. 

Sadly, the poor girl in the Metro that drove into us...did not make it.  We were wearing seatbelts but she was not. As it transpired we were all roughly the same age - I was 21 and both Mr A and the girl were just 22.

P.S.  Mum is very chipper today after her accident yesterday, much to my relief.
