Over the Hills and Far Away

We set of on a walk on the Simonside Ridge in Northumberland this morning in the pouring rain. The paths we took were more like mountain streams than paths, but we persevered and just as we arrived on the ridge, within about 15 minutes, the visibility changed from a few yards to miles and miles. This shot was taken in that 15 minutes where the the mist was lifting and the view was being revealed. It was a spectacular walk, well worth the effort.
