Pontcysyllte Aqueduct

This morning was beautifully sunny so I went for a walk around Ty Mawr Country Park near Llangollen. The River Dee was very high which is unsurprising considering all the rain we've had.

The blip is of Telford's famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct that carries the Llangollen Canal over the River Dee. I've blipped it several times before but it's such a striking piece of industrial archaeology  that I can never resist it!

There were workmen doing work on the top, they must have been making the most of the quiet season on the canal.
