The first dance

Last night the band were in Stoke on Trent playing for the wedding ceilidh of two of the dancers in this morris side. At the beginning of the evening they all put their tatter jackets over their wedding finery and performed a couple of dances. The bride and groom had veils around their hats - their first dance was a morris dance which was a first for us!

I didn't think to ask permission to use photos of them and with a wedding being a private occasion there's just an extra of their back view as they danced.  

It was a great evening and lovely food with a choice of veggie curry or meat ragu. It was worth the 2.00 am bedtime!
