Mt Roy Sunrise

I was out the door before 6 a.m. to capture the sunrise.  It doesn't stay like this for very long, just a few minutes in fact.  The sun is rising about 6.20, so not so early these days.

I went to morning tea with my church friends, always good to see everyone.  After lunch I headed to town, and completed my 8,000 steps.  It is very hot again, +27C.  While walking along the lake front, I noticed a whole lot of kite surfers.  I got a surprise to see that they were up on foils.  Among other names it is called 'Kite foilboarding'.  I wonder if this is what they will be doing at the next Olympics.  About 12 kite surfers were out racing, and they were doing amazing speeds.  (Extra 1).
