Walking towards Homestead Bay

The 23 members of the Wanaka Walkers drove to Homestead Bay and walked towards Colquhouns beach.  The track gently undulates towards the small and sheltered beach, with beautiful mountain and lake views.  It was quite windy, which was good, because it kept us cool while walking in the hot sun.  We didn't make it to the beach, but stopped along the track for our lunch.  In this photo we are heading back to the cars.

A welcome cuppa at a local cafe was a fitting end to the day's walk.
