Look at my feet!

I regularly see these birds (Eurasion coots, I believe) but they are usually swimming. A friend pointed out to me how wonderful their feet are, and I just had to have a go at capturing them.

This morning I returned to the gentle slopes of the Lake Ginninderra walk, after the ups and downs of the Pinnacle. I augmented my walk from the usual 7 km circuit to a longer 10 km hike (Circuit + extra bits). Last night's rain meant that the air smelt eucalypt-fresh and, for the early part of the walk at least, it was cool with lovely dull skies.
