Feeding time
I take these whenever I'm sitting feeding mum her breakfast or lunch so it's not just feeding time for the birds.
This morning I was woken at 7:30am by the noise of someone rummaging in the key safe. Then the doorbell starts going. I ignored it and hoped mum wasn't disturbed.
Then I could hear voices outside and feared these carers who had turned up might phone the police or someone fearing a problem with not getting in. So I got up in a huff, opened the door and told them that I'd cancelled this mornings visit. They said nobody had told them and apologised.
So I didn't get the lie in I was hoping for and should have known better.
However I did go back to bed and I managed to relax thanks to you tube mindfulness meditations and dropped off to sleep until half past nine which was great.
I changed mum and we enjoyed a lovely day as she hadn't been rolled around backwards and forwards, just a simple up and down.
I actually changed her this evening to get her in a better position on the bed.
The evening carers will be here within the next hour. I'm not sure there is a lot for them to really do and don't know whether to tell them. Mum is in a good position to sleep, has had her tea and medicine.
She could drift off at any point now.
I wonder if the carers will mind not having anything to do or whether they'll insist in doing what they came to do.
