Mediterranean Merry Christmas!

The kids had a lovely morning opening gifts...Nate, in true baby form, enjoyed the wrapping paper most of all! Asha was hugely appreciative of each present, which always warms my heart. After that it was on with preparing lunch! Danny went and set up the table in the local area where we had our meal...we plated up all the meals into take out boxes, had the gravy in flasks to pour on hot... The Spanish guys loved the meal & have gone away with a good impression of British cuisine! As the afternoon wore on more people came, and after the kids and I went home, Danny went and gave the last meals away.
Things I loved about today:
- It didn't feel like charity...we hung out with the homeless guys all afternoon...they played football with Asha, we ate chocolates, we nattered, we laughed...
- All the Caña Club guys getting involved...Claire had made sausages wrapped in bacon, and sprouts with bacon...she helped me sort all the boxes out too...she hung out all afternoon... James and Rich showed up & they'd made platters of crackers and cheese and sweet treats... It was a real meeting of worlds!
- One guy had only eaten a handful of sweets yesterday and was so glad of food...he took extra away with him.
- That Asha had SO much fun!
- That it was such a fun Christmas!

Drama(s) of the day;
1) Danny being unwell this morning (but thankfully improving relatively fast).
2) Our boiler starting to leak...slow but constant...

Today I'm grateful for;
1) A lovely relaxed morning with the kids & Danny.
2) A great Christmas day...seriously lovely.
3) How many people chipped in, in different ways, to make today happen.

Now for a glass of wine & some cheese... Happy Christmas Blippers! x
