Flowers for Christmas

Although I love cut flowers I never usually buy them, especially after a trip to Kenya when we found out about the health issues the workers in the flower farms have due to the sprays etc. Also Lake Naivasha used to team with fish and bird life but because of the pollution from the flower farms they have died. Most of the flowers in the shops here come from Kenya via Amsterdam.

But I caved in and bought 3 amaryllis to go in the jug with my garden greenery. I also got the last bunch of tulips as they were the favourite of my late daughter.

Daughter is still poorly with flu so missed her last day of term. Ailie called for a cup of tea - no hugs for her as she’s had a bug and might still have it!
