Old Man's Beard

Otherwise known as Clematis seeds.
It was good and crispy this morning.

After a very poor night's sleep and dropping the kids off at school we met the usual suspects for breakfast and they were lovely enough to give me presents for my birthday (since I wont be around for it) ......... you can't beat freshly laid eggs!

So it was a later visit to the mother-in-law and the cartoon cat (see extras).
That beast has a personality disorder - purring and licking one second and flaying the skin of you the next.

After that it was home to pack for tomorrow's early start before collecting The Cygnet and doing the double school run for French (Squirrel was collected by her dad but she did stop off to wish us a good holiday).
When Bags came to collect The Cygnet after his diner she also collected a couple of fan heaters as her heating decided to pack up and leave home this afternoon and it will be a couple of days before an engineer ordains to show face .... so much for paying for 'emergency' insurance cover.

Early night tonight.
