Westmoreland Way - Part 4

Today we walked the next section of the Westmoreland Way from Pooley Bridge to Patterdale. An eleven mile walk meant an early start given how short the days are at the moment. We had fine but cold weather and some welcome sunshine. The route heads up from Pooley bridge to the stone circle at the Cockpit it then roughly follows the shoreline at varying heights. Some lovely light in the morning over Ullswater as we descended gently from the Cockpit.
