Great Langdale

Lovely cold, crisp morning and with nothing in particular arranged for the day I opted for a walk in Great Langdale. Starting at the Old Dungeon Ghyll I did a loop around Mickleden. The blip was taken near Stool End Farm below The Band looking up to Bow Fell. I was just taken with the sunlight catching the tips of the trees. Had a chat with the farmer's wife who was bemoaning the fact that the farmhouse will be in permanent shade until the end of February as the sun is so low in the sky. The extra shows Bow Fell and the Crinkles. I followed up with a loop from the New Dungeon Ghyll along the Cumbria Way to Oak Howe and back along the green lane. The Langdale valley seemed a popular spot today as there were many out for a walk.
