Minutes before....

..nothing really happened fortunately.

We are staying overnight with the family in North London and decided to use the day for ourselves first.

First stop, Sloane Square and Kings Road, one of my favourite areas in town. We had a lovely lunch in The Bluebird Restaurant. Some brave sorts ate al fresco under heaters and on seats covered with thick sheepskins.....inside was our choice.

Then on the tube to Oxford Circus and walked east towards Centre Point (and Uniqlo for jeans for D).

The police cars began racing past, sirens sounding and we overheard youngsters on phones assuring mums they were OK. Something had happened. Tottenham Court Road station was our destination, along with crowds of Black Friday shoppers and those diverted from Oxford Circus.

All safe and sound and nothing had actually happened. If it had, we would certainly have been caught up in the aftermath.

M&E's evening was cancelled as a consequence and we enjoyed a family meal out instead. More time to play with O & S....a bonus.
