We had one of those.....!

A brilliant day at the Science Museum! So much there to choose from so we concentrated on The secret life of the Home displays.  Amazing! So many memories from my childhood home! And D's too!  

Valorette heaters (in our bathroom and on the landing and always with the strong smell of paraffin), a Courtier stove with a back boiler (in the dining room where we spent most of the time and which also heated the water),  my talking doll who cried when she was tilted, the hairdryer with a hood that took ages to do its job. And of course the constellation vacuum cleaner....

Progress and new is good but old was too. 

The ice rink in the grounds of the Natural History Museum. although not due to open until tomorrow, was really popular...
