All Quiet On The River Cam...

... but not for long. Today are the Winter Head races, organised by the Cantabrigian Rowing Club. At 2,500 metres they end up here, but had not started when I was watching from the bridge and it was far too cold to hang about for an hour. Stourbridge common, on the right, was full of various rowing club members, tents and marquees, but the river was empty of  boats. I hadn't realised there was an event or I would have gone for a walk later to watch the races.
