Mud guards

Ive had mud guards fitted, can you see how effective they are? My back was plastered! Gay's bike was as clean as a whistle, slightly longer mud guard.
So, we caught the 8am train to york, going backwards a bit here, i got up at 715, raced around sorting out millie, jumped on my bike and pedalled like a demon to the station. Back a bit, i went over to gay's to play scrabble with donna n pete, a bottle of wine later, and having lost 2 games of scrabble and 1of upwords, i tottered home.
Anyway, on the train i bought a cup of tea and a danish, he was nice, but i would have prefered a pastry at that time of the morning, boom boom.
I did a bit of double take at york station, its the first time ive been back there since the day my dad died in york hospital. I could see the bench where i sat
and cried.
The ride was fabulous, weather was just right, not too hot, cold or windy, the trails were varied and interesting, we went through woodland, canal banks, airfield, country parks. . All sorts of places. Coffe and cakes in selby, where there is a huge factiry vi-ing fir skyline with the church. Its a flour mill accirding one of the locals.
When we reached conisbrough, i decide 50 miles was enough for one day and went to catch the train home. Gay, who is a demon cyclist, carried on to finish the 18 miles to home. My train was delayed, but it didnt matter, i was sat in the sunshine, then the slog back up the hill to crookes, i pushed from broomhill i was so weary.
