This morning I returned to the grumpy cobbler, (not first thing as he'd warned me, but sort of 'second thing', about 11.30 and was pleased to see he had a friendly assistant who produced the newly cobbled boots with a smile!

This afternoon I went to the Scandinavia Show at Earls Court to pick up a bag full of brochures, eat an unhealthy, dirty hot dog and hear about trips, ice hotels, chilly cruises, the Northern Lights etc. I doubt very much I'll be going on any of these spectacular looking holidays this/next year..but I can dream (and drool over the brochures)

I noticed this chap sporting a very fine Viking's horned helmet proudly. He was trying to make a sale to a customer who looks like he's about to be bitten by the man behind! For some foolish reason, I decided it would be a good idea as it was a sunny day, to walk back to Charing Cross from Earls Court..hurty feet and tired eyes now after wandering about all day!
