Chim Chiminey

Today I woke up at the shocking time of 10.30 a.m. dreaming about ordering an Indian takeaway! (well, I suppose it was nearer to lunch time than breakfast!)

As I'd slept so late and had household chores to do like a 1950s style housewife, I didn't have time to venture too far on my last day off of work (apart from the weekend of course). I walked over to the 'cobblers' in Blackheath (or 'Shoe Repairs Shop' being the correct title now..as Lazoogirl and I were discussing the other day on here). I thought he'd do it there and then, or perhaps an hour's wait at the most, but he seemed a bit grumpy and suggested next week! I asked a little timidly if they could be ready for tomorrow morning and he said 'well not first thing!' I think he'd had enough of 'cobbling' for one week! I'm sure he was pleasant last time I went there (though that was a couple of years ago!)

It was best not to ask for a photo of him 'happy at his work', so I took a photo of a long line of chimneys in Blackheath that I liked the look of..quite a variety of shapes and sizes!
