Grayson Perry at the Bristol Arnolfini

You never know when art is going to strike. I can be left dead to the bone marrow at some exhibitions, and taken to an exquisite level of madness at others. We nipped into the Bristol Arnolfini today - home of many an uninspiring mess of self important waffle - to find the most excellent collection of Grayson Perry art.

This isn't the shot I was intending to Blip, rather wanting to go with the huge pink and flamboyant motorcycle in the extras; designed to address the antithesis of motorcycling butchness. But the more you look at this tapestry - and yes, go Large - the more you see... from the depressingly UKIP/Leave graffiti'd housing estate to the tented encampment under the flyover, all the way to the wind turbines, the murmuration of starlings and the central rainbow.

There's a lot of Brexit related art here, and it's not hard to see where Perry stands, albeit he does his best to show each side equally. And I may have stuck an extra in for Judith... ;-)

If you find yourself in Bristol soon, it's a very fine exhibition in which to while away a couple of hours. At the nearby M-Shed, by the way, this Friday its free to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. Ssh, don't tell anyone.
