Ominous weather
The sky over St. Peter Port on Guernsey today was a very strange and ominous pinky/orange colour. We are told this is being caused by dust in the atmosphere being sucked north from Southern Europe and Africa, a result of Hurricane Ophelia.
Standing on the Castle Breakwater this morning, the sea was already becoming so rough that I decided not to venture closer to the lighthouse for my photograph. It was built in 1868.
The island in the distance is Herm.
