Freesias
It was a rather dull day on Guernsey today, so we took ourselves to the Freesia Centre in the north of the island. It was the wrong time of year to watch the planting of corms, tending of the growing plants, and picking, bunching and boxing of the blooms for daily export to the UK, Europe and the Republic of Ireland. But we used our imaginations and enjoyed ambling around the greenhouses.
