Priority for walkers!

Once we leave the main roads on Guernsey, we find tiny high-hedged lanes marked by these attractive road signs. It's such a surprise and a delight to find that horses and their riders, bicycles and walkers are given priority over the motor car. And if one does meet a car, it's going no faster than 15 mph. 

Well, that's the idea anyway!
