Up and coming - but not for long

When we were in Hanbury Woods on Wednesday with some other Blippers, we were all bemoaning the lack of fungus.  Last night I saw some on a grass verge about 200 metres from home.  It was too dark last night to go back and take a shot of them and I had visions of some oiks kicking them over on the way home from the pub last night.  I went back this morning and most of the fungus was still intact but some of it is already rotting its way back into the ground.  It was some of the biggest fungus I've ever seen and I had a happy few minutes grovelling around in the grass and earth trying to get a good angle on it.

Interesting stuff!

Now don't get too excited but I'm going to be somewhere different tomorrow!
