Cesar Manrique's House

Cesar Manrique is an artist and activist who is credited with being responsible for keeping Lanzarote to the way it is.  We visited his two houses today and were very impressed by his art and creativity and the peacefulness he was able to induce.  He died in a road accident in 1992 but I hope his influence lives on.  A very interesting day although it was quite windy over the west side of the island.
