The Ridgeway

One day or rather over several days l would like to walk the length of the Ridgeway.  Today we joined a friend who was celebrating a significant birthday by bringing together lots of friends to walk a stretch of the Ridgeway starting at the Uffington White Horse.  I was last here about 38 years ago and remember it vividly.  Today you are not allowed to walk anywhere near it whereas when l was last year we were gamboling all over it and having a picnic on the hill nearby.  It was a beautiful day with a truly spectacular view and a bitingly chilly wind if you stopped to look for too long.  A great way to mark a birthday!
