After the high life of Hoy, we stayed a little closer to home. The forecast offered better weather at the start and the end of the day so we drove out to Hoxa; wandered round in a stiffening breeeze; saw a tanker slip out of the Flow to the south and watched a couple of seals playing about and diving cormorants.
Then home for lentil soup and an early afternoon movie whilst I slept. Then true to form it brightened; we went to the ferry pier and booked the return leg; then pottered about, buying postcards, getting bread and ice cream and poking about in the Hope.
They played a bit of football whilst I did dinner and then cranked up the stove as night fell and the wind rose.
