GGSA2017/Day Two

If you can face it, I highly recommend a run the morning after a night on the booze; it gets your lymphatic system working and sweats out a lot of unpleasantness. Plus you arrive at breakfast smelling dreamy and with a justified appetite.

And once we'd all eaten - full English, natch - we set out for the day's adventures, starting with a boat trip on the Servern. I have to say it was an impressive set up, from the table service - coffees and teas - through to the narration by the Rick Steinalike skipper as we passed under various bridges and by the landmarks of Shrewsbury, or those visible from the river, at least.

Then it was a pub lunch (amazing seafood chowder for me at The Coach and Horses) followed by a scheduled nap, which is exploited to varying degrees by the Gang members: I caught twenty minutes and then went down to the bar for a beer and did a bit of writing.

And then, this evening, we had a couple of beers, followed by an excellent curry, and then some more drinks. I have to say, I feel we have the pace of the Special Assignment down to a tee, now.

And here are the boys (while I focus on remotely controlling the camera). Technically not the best picture I took, but definitely the one that best sums up these chaps. I love them to bits.
