Autumnal woods

Can there be anywhere more restful than a wood in Autumn? Multi-coloured leaves underfoot, vivid green moss on tree-trunks and dappled light filtering through the branches. 

This small woodland is in North Devon. My mother has stopped by the stile and patiently waits while I compose my photo.
