Day #1

2nd attempt!

After breakfast on the balcony, enjoying the sun and quiet, we drove to Larnaca, past the salt flats which we must return to...

A day of acclimatising and relaxing, 'tho we've done plenty of walking too. My photo is of the Byzantine Museum by the church of Saint Lazarus, closed today but another on my "to visit" list. Its typical blue paintwork is one of my favourite Greek likes.

We walked the length of the esplanade from the marina to the fort and beyond. Not far but there was always something in the distance to head for.

In between we enjoyed our first frappés and ice cream, and Greek salad with pitta bread and taramasalata....over several hours of course.

After meeting up with friends of our hosts, we headed back home, eating at a recommended Taverna...a lovely meal each.
