Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Cheers!

A bit of a slow start, due to a headache about 7am, but a couple of pills sorted it eventually. Or it may have been the fresh fruit and coconut yoghurt breakfast in bed that helped.

In my new mindset, I did not think to skip the gym, but went there later than usual and watched the Daily Politics instead of Homes Under the Hammer.

We set off to Bruntsfield to check out a new dog friendly bar/restaurant, but it wasn’t open for lunches today. So we popped along to the Black Bird for a half pint. Last time we were there we had a great filled bagel, but we missed the brunch menu, so just had chips (and rap music) to accompany our halfs.

On the way down we caught our pal on the day she works in her brother-in-law's shop, she's keen to see any holiday photos so she's coming over next week.

I must say, the new, quiet, Archie is an absolute delight to be with. We just have to show him the PC (Pet Corrector). He met the neighbour this morning and didn’t bark, which is a first, and the neighbour was suitably impressed. The test will be when the wee girl comes out and squeals... or when a tradesman comes to the door and tries to come in. And we seem to have missed the postman each day, but I have high hopes.

Extras: Last time we were there, when he was a wee puppy. Today's shot. The sofa is a bit the worse for wear!
