Diary of an Edinburgher

Muffins

I managed an early gym sesssion before our visitors arrived. JR made muffins instead of her gym session. Archie had a surprise visit from Elizabeth, who came with her sister and her dad for a coffee, muffin and to see the safari video. They arrived bearing treats for Archie, and flowers and chocolates! Super visitors indeed.

Excited barking caused by Elizabeth's arrival is perfectly acceptable, but he didn’t bark for long. In fact, he's been pretty quiet since the arrival of the PC (Pet Corrector). And it's nice.

After viewing the video, Elizabeth and her sister declared that they were both quite keen on doing a safari holiday. Perhaps...

JR went to buy dog food at the shopping centre. This seems to take all afternoon, because there are other shops nearby, which need to be thoroughly browsed in. Archie and I went for a walk round the Links, and I had to show him the PC once when he saw another dog across the road, but said nothin'.

We popped in to see Rufus and his mum, to be greeted by a big handsome blue eyed husky and a wee friendly Jack Russel type. In fact, every time Archie tried to edge in to me, with a view to jumping to safety on my lap, Quine would just squeeze in between us, and Archie would look perplexed and give up.

JR eventually returned triumphantly - with not only the dog food, but a couple of items of clothing she just couldn’t leave behind.

There are so many new students in town now, and the sensible ones are organising their dog buddies. Hannah came to meet Archie. No barking. She'll take him out next week, lectures permitting.
