No parking

Into Kendal this morning for a coffee with a chap who used to do a bit of work for us, many years ago. To be honest, I'd love to employ him but he remains resolutely freelance. Still, we're very busy at the moment and, happily, he has a nice gap in his schedule, so that all worked out well. 

After that, I walked back to the office along the old canal, which I picked up, appropriately, at Canal Head. There are lots of places around Kendal where you can find old signs and doors and windows and bits and pieces that somebody probably should have removed but which have just been left where they lay, and there are signs on buildings around Canal Head that I'm not sure actually related to the building's current use.

This very rusty sign was on the gate next to one such building.
