Dom

This is my friend, Dom Conlon. He's one of the people I've met on Twitter who went on to become a real life chum. He's a writer and a poet, and also one of the bravest and most inspirational people I know. 

Last year I said to him that I'd love to do more writing but I don't have time and he replied, with an uncharacteristic lack of diplomacy, "Rubbish".

He's right, of course. Like I say, that man's an inspiration.

This evening, the Minx and I met him for a drink in the Shepherd's Hall in Chorley. (Actually, I think I must have 'met' Dom through her.) It's a cracking little pub and we had a very pleasant couple of hours. And, as usual, the real cost wasn't the drinks but the books I ended up ordering on Don's recommendation.
