Eleven years

Had a lovely day in the hills celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary. We climbed up Bow Fell via the climbers transverse and up the side of Great slab. Was a good route and we were really lucky with the weather. Amazing 360 views from the top. Came down Mickleden which felt like a long slog as I was bursting for the loo. We saw some people skinny dipping in Angle Tarn, which must have been freezing (too far away to see any detail thankfully!!)

We stopped for a post walk drink at the old dungeon Ghyll where our legs seized up. The hotel has a huge jacuzzi bath in it so we got in that when we got back which was very good for achey legs! By the time we headed out for dinner it was 9pm so we decided just to go back to The Crafty Baa again and try some more of their massive selection of beers and ciders. Had a lovely platter of meats and cheeses including a baked grape and bacon camembert which I would never have thought of putting together but it was lovely. Was served with gorgeous warm crusty bread. Such a lovely atmosphere in there and brilliant music. Great evening. Feeling very chilled out!
