Busy

We did a few things today.  It was cold this morning so I lit the wood burning stove for the first time since spring. I could have used existing  kindling, but I felt like swinging the axe and cut some fresh stuff instead. N sorted out and carefully packed our clothes into the caravan ready for our departure next week.  She made a great French onion soup for lunch and packed up the outside furniture ready for winter.   I got our travel documents together, backed up and packed up my desktop computer and other bits and pieces, chainsawed the overgrowth at the back of the big laurel hedge, then cut the whole hedge with the hedge-trimmers top and sides, mowed the front grass and the back too for good measure (oh I did the verges at the roadside too).  Then I collapsed with a beer to watch F1 qualifying on catch up.  I cooked a simple carbonara for dinner.  During the hedge hacking with the chainsaw part of the day, I temporarily discarded my gloves and one of them landed exactly as pictured in the extra.  Is it trying to point something out to me?
