Somewhere Over Washington State
We got up at 6:30 am (3:30 our time) in Roanoke, Virginia today, to begin our long journey home. I didn't see anything I wanted to blip until just before our United Airlines 757 began its descent towards Seattle-Tacoma airport. I grabbed a few shots before the order to turn off all electronic devices (including cameras) was given.
Our captain said that he'd never seen such thick smoke from forest fires.
We had to wait about an hour and a half for our bus to Bellingham, and when we stepped outside the terminal to board the bus, we saw a murmuration of starlings. I let Cynthia keep my seat on the bus while I took many photos, including this sequence I posted on Flickr.
I think I can finish posting before midnight if I hurry.
It's good to be home.
