Morlaix

A short (but slow - thanks Breton farmers!) drive to Morlaix. The city centre is dominated by a 58metre high viaduct built in 1861 to carry the Brest - Paris railway. This blip is taken on the lower level of the viaduct from which there are great views of the ancient half-timbered buildings and down into the valley that runs through the town, where this chap had enjoyed a fish lunch.

Earlier, in Perros-Guirec, I managed to get my broken specs repaired - taking to four the number of countries where I have achieved that - never having to pay a penny/cent for the privilege. Nice people opticians. Shortly afterwards I came upon a statue of a lady and her dog, erected in 1981 and, it seemed to me, clearly the model for the Wallis and Grommit character Wendolene.
