Grand Canyon from Toroweap

Today we went in a couple of 4-wheel drive vehicles for a 120-mile round trip to Toroweap Outlook on the northern side of the Grand Canyon. It's a much narrower part of the Grand Canyon than the usual tourist spots but very dramatic, and apart from an old man & his daughter(?) who turned up for about 5 minutes we had the place to ourselves for about 4 hours (very different from the usual tourist-trap spots).

The main photo shows one of the viewsv we had from there. At this point the Canyon is much narrower than at the usual (very busy) tourist spots but is very dramatic and is 3000 feet deep (more than half a mile!)

The first extra shows our guide/driver Mike playing his flute with the Canyon as a backdrop. The second extra shows the dirt road with the other vehicle in front of ours. Our driver kept his distance so as to avoid the dust cloud from the lead vehicle!
