Huntington Beach Open

Vacationing in the land of beach volleyball means I have to play as much as possible and when there is a tournament being played that is reachable by public transport, we go! Today was the Jose Cuervo Huntington Beach Open and this is Summer Ross, former University of Washington Husky, making a great defensive play to keep the ball out of the sand. The qualifying tournament was not very crowded, allowing for great vantage points and unobstructed camera angles. The only issue with qualifying day is that there are few of the "stars" playing. The on-court action, however, can be just as intense, which results in some great photos.
