Bad feather day

Between the wind and the moulting, this hen is looking rather the worse for wear. A few weeks though and she will have all her new feathers and be ready for winter.

My husband has many very fine qualities. We have been together for over 20 years. Compliment giving is not one of his strengths. I once said I was having a bad hair day. He disagreed. He said I was having a bad hair life. Harsh but fair!
