Everyday I Write The Book

My Mate Mr H

Very sociable day although not without its odd moments. We walked a mile along the canal first thing to get some exercise - actually we used one of those apps that gets you running for a minute then walking for a minute and a half ... etc.

Anyway we eventually got to the local Waitrose (quite unsurprised at our lack of fitness) and left our door key with the key cutters whilst we did some food shopping.

We then went home, another mile walk, and couldn't get in ... because we had left the key at the key cutters. One of those days when you feel right daft... Cue another mile walk back for the keys ...

But the canal was lovely ... a lovely loping heron with outstretched wings flew from bank to bank at one point.  All very peaceful.

In the afternoon Mrs W came over with young Mr H and we had a really nice lunch and a catch up. I got to have my picture taken with the little boy who I last saw eight days ago. I swear he has totally grown and changed since then, lovely little lad.

I could do with three day weekends on a regular basis ... oh wait ... got another one next week...
