Still Life With Book and Peacock Feather

We stayed at home today and cooked brunch on the BBQ. We had planned to go for a walk but some friends came around for coffee bringing some delicious cakes with them. I sat in the garden after they left with 2 cameras but nothing came visiting apart from the ubiquitous sparrows. There was quite a chill in the air and it seems to be indicating that summer will soon be coming to an end. I had to resort to an inside blip and searched the internet for ideas. I wanted to try a still life with an old world feel to it. I didn't quite get the atmosphere and spent way too long on the processing but I am keen to try again with more time and effort.
