MonoMonday - Water
I decided like a few other Blippers to do some water droplet photos for MonoMonday's theme of water. Our host TheAphid posted a very good one at his first attempt. He asked for some tips. I have done it a few times and wrote some tips on how to do it without buying any equipment. See here for my previous water drops. I changed quite a few things this time. I wasn't having as much luck with the flash as I used a longer lens with an extension tube this time. I put my equipment in front of the window and used daylight with a high ISO to get a high shutter speed. It turned out very grainy but I don't mind that for mono.I had to go back to my notes from last time as I wasn't getting such good crowns. A very shallow layer of water in the dish works best and you need to keep emptying it. Instead of a dropper I used a sponge soaked in water. I still had to squeeze it to make the drops but it was quicker and easier than the eye dropper. The extra shows some drops in 'flight'
